In April 2008 new legislation came into force requiring all commercial buildings over 10,000 sqm to have and display an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) when they are constructed, sold or rented. This legislation is being phased in gradually and by October 2008 an EPC will be required for all commercial buildings.
Mint Leaf Energy Assessors will become government accredited energy assessors and will be ready to undertake EPCs and Display Energy Certificates (DECs) for commercial property in time for this new legislation. EPCs must be produced in an independent manner by qualified and accredited experts in this field. We will be able to offer a personal and efficient service and our fee rates are likely to be at a more competitive level than those of the nationwide providers.
